Greetings Cornell Alumni Family,

On this Juneteenth, Cornell Black Alumni Association (CBAA) is proud to partner with Cornell Students for Black Lives (C4BL) to support their campaign in raising funds for specific charities in the fight for racial justice. The students believe that one of the best ways we can support the work of black activists and organizers, who are currently mobilizing to get justice for the wrongful deaths of black Americans, is by calling on Cornellians to take action and give towards these efforts in Ithaca and beyond. We are excited and proud of the students for raising over $80,000! And we want to substantially increase that number. Let’s show them the power of the Cornell alumni family!

Please join us in our #AnyBlackPersonAnyStudy Giving Challenge. From now until Saturday, June 20, 2020, at 11:59 PM ET we are asking all alumni to donate to the C4BL fundraiser. These funds will be given to various organizations including the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund and Southside Community Center in Ithaca, NY. Additionally, during this challenge, a percentage of the fund will go towards a collaborative initiative in partnership with C4BL that promotes education and advocacy of the Black Cornell community.

Consider giving at the following levels in honor of CBAA’s founding:

  • $76
  • $100
  • $500
  • $1,076

We are asking all alumni to renew your support for our students in any way you can. Any size donation is welcome. Whether it is a small donation or a personal/corporate endowment. Help us to continue to support students and their entrepreneurial endeavors.

DONATE NOW!

Once you donate, send a selfie or photo, tag us at @cbaa1976 and @cornellstudents4blacklives and use the hashtag #AnyBlackPersonAnyStudy
