A Memoir of Faith, Friendship, and Hope in the Heart of the South” by Chris Rice. In Grace Matters, we follow the remarkable
journey of Chris Rice, a white college student from Vermont, who helped form a thriving interracial community in Jackson,
Mississippi. Chris Rice's compelling story explores the topic of racial division and reveals the changes he underwent in the

Annual Members
Meeting/Strategic Planning Session CBAA will conduct
its annual Member meeting in the NYC area. This meeting is a must attend for all dues paying members. We will propose a vision
statement, and strategies to direct CBAA’s focus and activities for the next 5-7 years. We will present and vote on
proposed changes to CBAA’s bylaws, discuss relevant topics and formulate working committees. Professor James Turner
will be in attendance to facilitate discussions on the Africana Rebuilding activities. Vice Provost Robert Harris will also
discuss Cornell diversity and recruitment efforts. You must be an active member on the day of the meeting to vote! It is imperative
