Be a Member: CBAA Wants and Needs You!
Since its inception in 1976, CBAA has enabled
Black alumni far and wide to stay connected and kindle new friendships through a variety of local and national activities.
CBAA Membership brings you:
• Members-only discounts to CBAA social
and educational events
• CBAA newsletter and other information
on CBAA events nationwide
• Alumni networking, volunteer and social
activities
• Student recruitment and mentoring opportunities
• Fundraising for the Africana Studies and
Research Center Rebuilding Project
• Up-to-date information on campus events
and student activities
• Scholarship and other programs to foster
excellence in Black students
• Lifetime friendships
We are also expanding co-sponsorship of events
with other Cornell clubs to maximize opportunities for you to participate and contribute and now offer a new membership category,
the Cornell Parent/Friend, to keep parents of current students and others apprised of events and activities of import to Black
Cornellians.
Join us in making a difference in our community.
While membership increased this past year, less than 10% of self identified, Black Cornellians have paid either lifetime or
annual dues to CBAA.
CBAA’s ability to offer meaningful programs
and activities depends on your financial support. Please join by completing the enclosed form or by downloading the online
membership application. For more information on membership and volunteer opportunities, contact Mitzi Young, Vice President
Membership, at may7@cornell.edu.
